<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;">This warning came as several fake cellular phones are openly sold at various mini-stores especially in Quiapo, Manila; Greenhills, San Juan and Makati Square in Makati City, all in Metro Manila.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;">Buyers should buy phone kits rather than Chine-made cellphones because phone kits are registered with the NTC while most of the China phones are not.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;">One of the best way to identify if the cellphone is fake it so look for the NTC sticker that can be seen at the back of the unit once the battery is taken out. The NTC sticker is small, white and contains the NTC logo. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;">Most refurbished and China-made phones don’t have the NTC sticker because these have not gone through the scrutiny by the NTC.</span></p>
